Colin Lydell is e-Discovery Project Manager in our Vancouver office. He manages a wide range of e-Discovery matters, from high-profile criminal cases to document-intensive commercial matters and multi-jurisdiction class actions. He supports litigators as well as labour and employment lawyers and their clients on e-Discovery matters.
As a project manager, Colin is knowledgeable about all aspects of e-Discovery and litigation support and played a significant role in the development of proprietary litigation support software for a previous employer. His experience also includes assisting a number of Canadian and U.S. regulatory agencies with customization/design, testing, implementation, and ongoing consultation around policy/procedural changes with respect to litigation support software use. Colin also speaks about litigation support processes and tools at a variety of industry conferences and events.
Colin has a BBA from Simon Fraser University and a diploma in Business Administration (with distinction) from Kwantlen Polytechnic University. He has also studied various computer systems and programming languages at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. He is a member of International Legal Technology Association, the British Columbia Legal Management Association and continues to hone his skills by attending various e-Discovery and litigation support related seminars.
Outside of work, Colin enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing and surfing with his wife and three kids.
